The Door Fan Test is an indirect performance verification test that determines the adequacy by calculating the design concentration maintenance time by creating the same environment as when releasing the chemical without directly discharging the fire extinguishing agent in the protected area where the gas fire extinguishing equipment is installed.

It is adopted by ISO, NFPA, BS, IRI, etc., and in Korea, it is adopted as a performance-oriented design guideline.
